Parents and swimmers,

Spring season is upon us. Spread the word to your friends. We want to build a base for the competitive season.
Spring will work on technique for new swimmers and sprinting/speed/endurance/technique/ for returning swimmers
We have lost several of our coaches and will be relying on Asa, Kristin, Ben, Senior Swimmers and parent volunteers to make it through the season.
Any parents interested in assisting poolside should contact me right away, and if you wish to carry on coaching duties to the fall season, we may have an opportunity to send you to Austria for a coaches clinic.

Swimmers will be assigned to groups once they have confirmed that they will be swimming. Let me know soon before groups get too full.
Registration and fees to be completed and paid by next Friday (9 March). The fee for Spring season is €50 per child.

The SHAPE Seals have changed banks from BNP Parabis/Fortis to Banca Monte Paschi Belgio
Account # 643-0048328-02 or IBAN format: BE32643004832802

ORDER OF EVENTS

QUALIFIED SWIMMERS FOR THE CHAMPS

Allready qualified

  • Swimmers who make the qualifying time are automatically   seeded for the championships.
  • Other swimmers will be selected (“pulled up”) by the seeding committee to fill a minimum of 2 heats per event.
  • The pool has 10 lanes for all events and 8 lanes for the 100 IM.
  • That means if only 22 swimmers have meet the Q-time in an event, the committee will pull up 8 more swimmers to fill three heats.
  • So events will be filled in multiples of 10 swimmers with the exception of the 100 IM which will be filled in multiples of 8 swimmers.
  • If you are not sure if your swimmer is qualified or close to being pulled up check out the latest EFSL standings or ask me at the pool and I can explain it to you (I have a copy of the standings with me).

Parent Meeting Minutes

Hello Seals,

New Group Practice Schedule took effect on Monday 12 September.

Welcome back and we are looking forward to another fun and exciting swim season.  We will start practice on Monday 22 Aug and I have attached the practice schedule and temporary groups.  This will be the schedule for the first three weeks of the season.  The dynamics of the groups will change after we have try outs in early September and once the coaches have had a chance to see all the swimmers and match them up to their proper groups.

Returning swimmers will start in the same groups that they ended last fall/winter season in.  For those that only swam in the spring season your schedule was a different format, so please see the groups attachment and if your name is missing, please let me know as soon as possible.  Caroline Rombaut, Caroline Ross, and Madelyn Coon, please see the groups attachment for your selected group.
